Let's take the ''f'' out of ''Shiftwork''

I wasn't sure in which category this post belongs to. But as I stumbled outta bed this morning, confused about the usual; time, day ... year, I wondered this oughta be part of lifestyle. The way I stretched and yawned ready to confront yet another 9 to 5, while covered in my working gear, the same question echoed, once more in my head that has everything to do with life: What do I do for a living?

What a way to make a livin' Quick fact. The oh so famous Dolly Parton song was written as part of a comedy film, over 40 years ago, to raise awareness about the inequality of pay and the lack of equal treatment between genders. 40 years ago. Now, 40 and bit years later, it's still all takin' and no givin'. What do I do for a living? should be ''What do I do for who's living?'' I am no foreigner to the 9 to 5, it is their way to make my living.

Service and Devotion My cup of ambition in my hopeful years was serving me until I discovered what they call ''The Good Stress''. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger is becoming the dumbest quote ever. What doesn't kill you now, will end up killing you later in life. And let me tell ya, no one warns you that this ''Good Stress'' during shitwork, oups .. I meant, shiftwork, is the killer. I am always doing just fine, on the brightside, at every start... Service and devotion in the workplace have completely diverged from an individual component of personal satisfaction to a somber substance fulled by unnatural ambitions and destructive behaviour. They received lemons, and wanted to make much more than lemonade. No one wants to talk about it, no one wants to confront it and everyone wants to be crying in their Lamborghini. Don't get me wrong .. would love to own a Lamborghini, but is crying in it the only option for me to be able to acquire one? Yes, I am talking about the motivator in disguise that sends everyone to Bali to distress, or to an £80/hour mobile masseuse, or makes everyone I work with turn into a complete pain in the arse and act in ways I never thought possible; unethical manners, non existing principles, low integrity and a complete disregard to people's well beings. I am the first one that understands private corporations' profits, and the positive impact it has on employment and economical advancement. But as a human, I refuse to ''make your living'' with little regard to basic principles of ethics and low morals. Soon, they will ask me what I do for a living and the answer will be said with a smile, and still some hair on my scalp, through the window of my Lambourghini. ======== Ladies and Gents, the Queen:
